Pattaya and the surrounding Chonburi coast have one of the densest clusters of quality golf courses in Thailand, all within about 90 minutes of Bangkok. Siam Country Club's Plantation and Old Course are the headline names, while Laem Chabang International, a Jack Nicklaus design near Sriracha, has three nines and runs occasional night golf events.

Chee Chan Golf Resort is famous for the giant Buddha image carved into the mountain behind it, and Phoenix Gold offers 27 holes at a friendlier price. Most Pattaya courses welcome visitors every day with caddies and carts, and many golf trips here combine three or four courses in a long weekend.
