Bali's golf courses are as dramatic as its beaches. New Kuta Golf on the Bukit peninsula plays along clifftops above Dreamland Beach, and Bali National Golf Club in Nusa Dua winds from the hills down to the coast. Up in the highlands at Bedugul, Handara Golf & Resort is a Peter Thomson design surrounded by volcanic forest and much cooler air.

For a quick, fun round, Bukit Pandawa is an all-par-3 course with ocean views. Green fees in Bali are higher than elsewhere in Indonesia and some courses publish different rates for domestic and international guests, so check the visitor price before booking.
