Handara Golf & Resort Bali lies in the Bedugul highlands of north-central Bali, inside an old volcanic crater near Lake Buyan and Lake Beratan. The 18-hole, par-72 course of about 6,983 yards was established in 1974 to a Peter Thomson design and is known for its cool mountain climate and bentgrass.
A 2025 guide quotes IDR 2,000,000 for 18 holes and IDR 1,200,000 for nine. Caddies and carts, practice facilities, lessons, club and shoe hire, a golf shop and dining are available, and the resort has rooms for stay-and-play trips.
It is roughly a two-hour drive from south Bali, so it suits golfers combining a round with a night in the highlands.
Weekend tee times go fast. Book ahead and check the visitor rules.
