Springfield Royal Country Club is a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus design at Sam Phraya, Cha-am, part of the Springfield resort group roughly two hours' drive from Bangkok and a short drive north of Hua Hin. It has five sets of tees and some long carries from the back markers.
Tee times are booked direct with the club by phone (+66 32 709 256) or through its online booking form. The group says direct bookings get its best rate.
Facilities include a pro shop, driving range and short-game area, clubhouse restaurant, spa and fitness centre, and the Springfield Village Golf & Spa hotel next to the course.
Weekend tee times go fast. Book ahead and check the visitor rules.
