The Hong Kong Golf Club's Fanling site in the northern New Territories is the home of the Hong Kong Open and has three championship courses: the Old, New and Eden. Although it is a private club, visitors can play Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from 7am until dark, and tee times can be booked up to seven days ahead.
HKID holders who meet the handicap limits (36 for men, 40 for ladies) pay HK$1,700 for 18 holes or HK$900 for twilight play from 3pm. Overseas visitors pay HK$2,200 (HK$1,200 twilight). To book, they email [email protected] up to a month in advance and must show a passport with an entry date within 45 days. Green fees include up to two hours on the 32-bay driving range before tee-off. Carts cost HK$400, and trained caddies can be hired.
The floodlit night range is open from 5pm to 10pm with unlimited balls. Bookings are taken on 2679 1745 between 2pm and 4pm for same-day sessions, and walk-ins are accepted from 6pm when space allows.
Weekend tee times go fast. Book ahead and check the visitor rules.
