Summit Point Golf & Country Club sits at about 1,100–1,200 feet in Lipa City, Batangas, roughly an hour south of Manila, with views of the Malarayat mountain range. Opened in 2006, its 7,017-yard course was the first 'tribute' design by Robert Trent Jones Jr., with holes inspired by famous holes at Oakland Hills, Royal Dornoch, Pine Valley, Sotogrande and Augusta National. Holes 9 and 18 share a double green in front of the clubhouse.
It is a private residential club, but visiting golfers can book tee times through golf travel operators such as Golfasian, which arranges confirmed rounds for groups of up to four. Green fees are not published online, so contact the club or an operator for current rates.
The clubhouse has a golfers' lounge, locker rooms, a restaurant and a pool, and there is a driving range. The cooler upland weather makes it a popular alternative to the lowland Manila courses.
Weekend tee times go fast. Book ahead and check the visitor rules.
