Saujana Golf & Country Club, founded in 1984 on a former oil-palm estate in Section U2, Shah Alam, is close to Subang airport and next to The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur. It has two championship courses. The Palm Course, nicknamed 'The Cobra', plays 6,992 yards from the back tees and has hosted the Malaysian Open; its 172-yard par-3 2nd is billed as the most difficult hole in Malaysia. The Bunga Raya Course, 'The Crocodile', plays 7,034 yards and was re-routed by Parslow & Winter Golf Design with Bermuda 419 fairways and Mini Verde greens.

Practice facilities include a 300-yard driving range and a short-game complex for shots of up to 80 yards. The club is open daily from 6.30am to 7.30pm.

Visitors and hotel guests should book tee times with the golf office on +603 7846 1466 or [email protected]; green fees are not published online.

Weekend tee times go fast. Book ahead and check the visitor rules.
