Palm Garden Golf Club in IOI Resort City, Putrajaya, describes itself as Malaysia's premier public golf course, about 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur. The 18-hole, sand-capped layout by Australian architect Ted Parslow is split into the Eugenia and Bismarck nines, with undulating fairways, high-lipped bunkers and boulders reused from construction.
Anyone can book. Published weekday rates are RM242 green fee for 18 holes (RM460 at weekends and public holidays), plus RM75 for a twin-share buggy, a compulsory caddie at RM40 and insurance. Tee times are booked online or through the golf WhatsApp line, +60 12 238 9881.
The two-storey driving range, relaunched as Perfect Swing with an automated ball dispenser, charges RM23 per 100 balls in the day and RM25 from 5pm to midnight. There is also an academy, practice bunkers and putting green, plus a clubhouse café, infinity pool and gym, with several IOI hotels next door.
Weekend tee times go fast. Book ahead and check the visitor rules.
