The Els Club Desaru Coast – Ocean Course

The Ocean Course at The Els Club Desaru Coast, managed by Troon, sits on the east Johor coast overlooking the South China Sea. Ernie Els designed three nines, Coast, Ridge and Lakes, and any two are combined for an 18-hole round. They take their cue from British links golf, with large rolling greens and firm run-off areas that reward a sharp short game.

Visitors book tee times online. The 2026 rate is RM450 on weekdays and RM500 at weekends and public holidays, excluding caddie fees. Carts are allowed on the fairways and carry GPS. The course is open from 7.30am until dusk.

Practice facilities include a full grass driving range with target greens, short-game areas and the Els Performance Golf Academy. The clubhouse has the Big Easy Bar & Grill and the 261 Bar & Restaurant, and stay-and-play packages are offered with the Desaru Coast resorts.
